1) My name is Dani Saad. I am in 9th grade and this is my first minimester.
2) I choice to do this minimester because I wanted to have fun with my friends, try new activities, and experience a new culture.
3) My favorite food was the delicious Costa Rican fruit. The fruit is so sweet and juicy!
4) My bug spray was definitely the most important item I packed. Without it, I would have got eaten alive by all the bugs!
5) My favorite "Tom" moment was all the jokes and comments he made. My favorite was "we will be there in 5 minutes" when really it would be like 30 minutes.
6) What made me laugh the most was using the war paint from a plant to paint our faces. The boys looked great with it on! And it was a lot of fun!
7) I didn't know much about bats until we had the presentation on them. I actually got to experience a live bat that was captured right outside from where we were staying, that is something you can't experience back home in Miami!
8) I had many favorite adventure activities but the one I liked and had so much fun on was the white water rafting. It was my first time doing it and it was a great experience. I'm very happy we were able to enjoy the adventure for 2 days!
9) My favorite eco activity was the amazing hot springs. The hot springs were very relaxing and very fun.
10) Our community service project was an important part of the trip because we were helping take care of our planet and we were helping make a difference. It was hard work but it paid off and it feels great that we did it!
11) Costa Rica has many amazing views but my favorite was the La Fortuna waterfall. It was unbelievable, and I never thought I would be able to see something so incredible like that!
12) The whole trip was very memorable but my most memorable moment is the white water rafting adventure. There were so many laughs and memories all on one raft!
13) What surprised me the most was the cute little toucan that was bitting Enrique's hand and camera. Enrique has some memorial marks to bring back home!
14) The zip-lining adventure changed me because I was always a little scared of heights and this helped me overcome my fear. At the end I really enjoyed being high up in the trees and seeing the breathtaking views of Costa Rica.
15) On this trip, I really got to know Claudia much better. I learned that we have many similar characteristics and we got along very well together. From this trip we are closer friends.
16) I learned about myself that I really love being with nature (except all the bugs) and to go out of my comfort zone and experience the real thrill of life, and the memories that come along with it!
