Jake Butters Mosaic

1. I am Jake Butters and I am in 9th grade.
2. I decided to go on this minimester because I wanted to spend more time outdoors and not in a classroom.
3. What was your favorite food/meal on the trip?  My favorite food on this trip was the roasted red peanuts from mega super.
4. The most important item i packed was my iPhone to take pictures.
5.  My favorite Tom moment is when he was afraid to kill the spider at the lodge.

6.It was really funny when Tom would give an estimated time to get somewhere in "Tom time".
7. I thought the most when we were discussing the bad reputation given to bats, and the bats being affected by bad farming.
8.  My favorite adventure activity was the second day of rafting on the Pacuare River.
9. My favorite eco activity was the hike down to the waterfall. On the hike we were in the middle of a living rainforest, and it was fun until we had to hike back up.

10. Our community service project was important because we took time out of our trip to help the envirionment.
11.  My favorite view was when we went up the sky tram to go ziplining and we could see Lake Arenal.

12. My most memorable moment was when I got stuck on the zipline and had to pull my self up the rest of the way.

13. I was surprised that there were almost no mosquitos!
14.  The ziplining changed me, because I wasnt sure if I would be able to do it without hesitation. Once I got in the middle and looked down, I realized it was incredible, and worth it.
15. I learned a lot about Margaux on this trip because we sat together on the plane, and on the trip we had a lot of fun together.
16.  I learned that I am interested in the environment, and want to definitely go back to Costa Rica to learn about the environment and the bad things people are doing to it.
